GERMANY RELEASES A SERIES OF REGULATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Germany has just introduced a series of new regulations related to international students, aimed at solving the problem of serious labor shortage in Europe’s largest economy. These adjustments come into effect from the beginning of March and bring many benefits to international students studying in Germany.
Work 140 extra days per year
International students from countries in the European Union (EU) are allowed to work 140 extra days per year, an increase of 20 days compared to before, creating more favorable conditions for part-time work and increased income.
Age restrictions and German language standards
For international vocational students, the age limit for applying is 35 years old, increased from 25 years old according to the old regulations. The government also reduced the German language requirement from B2 to B1, making it easier for students to study and work.
Extra time for students studying a language or transferring
Students coming to Germany to study a language, or looking for a school or language courses, are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week. This creates flexibility and stability for students during the learning and transition process.
Simplify the licensing process
The new regulations ease complicated procedures for foreign workers, especially in special professions such as health and lawyers. The requirements continue to remain the same, but the diploma recognition process takes place after the worker arrives in Germany, reducing time and risk for candidates.
The importance of international students
These new measures come at a time when Germany is facing a shortage of highly skilled workers. International students are seen as part of the solution to this problem, with an important role in providing qualified labor to the economy.
These changes are an important step forward, helping to create a more favorable learning and working environment for international students in Germany. At the same time, it also plays an important role in attracting and retaining international talent for the country’s sustainable development.
